Summary: The article explains the controversial topic of the prime minister of the United Kingdom using a private jet for the third time in 10 days for short journeys. As well as the data on wealthy people who often use private jets and the cost of using them. Emphasizing the usage of private jets requires a huge amount of money and fuel, and causes air emissions (tonnes of carbon). The author reveals some opinions of both sides' pros and cons stakeholders. Mainly focuses on values and the necessity of using private jets in certain circumstances. Some argue to be responsible for using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), a biofuel often made from waste products such as cooking oil. Furthermore, they are looking at the kind of [aviation] technology that could solve the climate issue. At the moment, there’s no way to reduce climate emissions from aviation other than flying less

Reaction: The article has deepened my understanding of private jets through those data and critical opinions from stakeholders that I have never thought of before. I hope that they can discover new aviation technology to reduce climate emissions soon. However, I think that the article has been thoroughly well-written. Lots of information was provided both pros and cons.

Questions: Taking private jets is the most polluting form of transportation and the command of using it is still growing high, what should people consider more? the desire for exclusive luxury travel or the urgent reality of the climate crisis?

Comments

  1. Can you think of any alternatives to luxury jets, especially the ones that leaders of countries use? Should these type of people use commercial aircraft instead? Can you think of any reasons why they couldn't fly first class on commercial airlines. Are there any other alternative transportation possibilities that you can think of?

Good summary of the article and good reaction.

  3. Your blog is clearly written, it is understandable, precise and I get the main points that you’re trying to illustrate to the audience. Well done with your blog! and for me there’s no mistakes and comments for the improvement, because I did such a great job on this. For me, private jet is still the famous aviation for people to travel, but affecting the environment, so I do hoping the same thing as you, that in the future I hope that people could invent new aviation that reduce climate emissions for us. To you, keep doing, writing and I will surely keep reading your blog!
